Announcements: Joe announced Bug Day this afternoon. Katie announced guest day would be on February 15th and to give some thought to companies you may be able to contact. Joe Schmall announced ticket sales would begin February 8th for the pancake breakfast. Dan Breitbach announced the Zen campaign was moving quietly and gave us some political pundits to contemplate.

Happy Bucks: Doug Dix was Happy that Tebow time is not over. Janet was happy and sad as she still hasn’t found the lost olive from the luncheon last Wednesday. Keith Sutherland was happy he just picked up his new car. Koleene was so happy she donated to start Dan’s super pac. The Boardman’s were happy to be leaving for two months. Ron Sundermann was happy he got his land line situation straightened out. Jim Platt was happy to see the snow.

Word for the Day: Don Grimm was so far away on his cruise we got a reprieve.

Program Overview: Todd Nelson from FNG LLC is managing the construction and remodeling of the new convention center, hotel and US Cellular Center. They help with fund raising, moving tenants, demolition, legal and regulatory issues. They also are involved in facility operations and entertainment venues. Todd says the convention center will drive the downtown area and create business for other businesses in the area. It will be the second largest convention center in Iowa.
