Newspapers are in big trouble because their revenues are down. They need a new business model. By show of hands, he demonstrated that boomers and beyond still read papers. Young folks don’t – they get all the content they want electronically. The boomers are doomed to diminish. Ads are very much cheaper on the internet, and are reaching more eyeballs than papers. In the near term, papers will look for synergy by having one team of reporters for print, television, and internet communications. Word for the day: Submitted: Chuck Wehage |
