"Now More Than Ever"

Meeting called to order by President Dix. 27 members present.

Announcements: The district governor’s meeting will be in Little Amana 11/9 at 6:00.  Information on ticket sales for the Holiday Pops concert will be given next meeting.  Cinnamon rolls will be delivered next week.

Happy Bucks donated by: Ray V., John A., John S., Kelly M., Jim P., Ron S. (who was happy about Slappy the Singing Sidekick), John W. (who was happy Chicago won the World Series), Sr. Charmaine, Mel R., Don G., and Dan B. (who was at a loss at Ron's jokes).

Speaker was our very own Jim Platt, who discussed the complexities of Medicare part D and the 44 companies nationwide that are offering coverage.  Jim demonstrated that the rules, regulations, and documentation are very confusing, and recommended that most people obtain advice from someone who has had the time to understand this huge new program before choosing a plan.
